are four different ways to paste inside of Photoshop the first is the probably the way that youamp;#39;ll use the most you just make a selection and then you copy that selection and you then paste that selection and you of course when you paste you get a new layer and you have paste so after that there are three other ways if you look under edit thereamp;#39;s something called paste special thereamp;#39;s paste in place paste into paste outside so let me show you what those look like letamp;#39;s just dump this layer Iamp;#39;m going to make a selection here and Iamp;#39;m just in basics of this image and Iamp;#39;m just going to go and grab this part of the image here just a sample image Iamp;#39;m going to copy it then when to go back into this for all three of these itamp;#39;s very important that to have your selection in the image that you wish to affect because if you donamp;#39;t you canamp;#39;t actually access these paste specials Iamp;#39;m going to hit paste outs

Paste in Front/Back/Place in docHub Illustrator Paste in Back will paste behind the selected object. And Paste In Place will paste the object at the top of the layer hierarchy, again, in the exact same position you copied it from.
Heres how Paste In Place in docHub InDesign 2023 works. With the content still selected, choose Edit - Cut from the menu at the top. The selected item will disappear. Now open the new document (or move to a different page) that you want to paste into. Select Edit - Paste in Place from the menu at the top of the page.
In your Word document, place the cursor where you want the text to appear. Press Ctrl + Shift + V (Cmd + Shift + V on Mac). Notice how the pasted content matches the neighboring text formatting, rather than preserving its original font size, color, etc.
Select an object, CONTROL C to copy it, then either Control V to paste it to center of artboard, or Control F to paste directly over and in front of the original.
