No. If you look at the XML 1.1 spec, starting at definition number [39] and follow all the sub definitions, sub sub definitions, etc. Youll see that you cant put a space in a tag name.
XML considers four characters to be whitespace: the carriage return (\r or ch(13)), the linefeed (\n or ch(10)), the tab(\t), and the spacebar ( ). In XML documents, there are two types of whitespace: docHub whitespace is part of the document content and should be preserved.
The substring( ) function returns the substring of s starting at index and continuing for length characters. The first character in the string is at position 1 (not 0, as in Java and JavaScript). For example, substring(Charming cat , 1, 5) returns Charm .
It requires proper character escaping to ensure special characters like ampersands () are correctly interpreted by XML parsers. The ampersand () is a special character in XML used to begin entity references. To treat it as data, it must be escaped as amp;.
To preserve white space within object element content, specify xml:space=preserve on that object element. Under most interpretations, the xml:space attribute effects and the value of the attribute are scoped to child elements.
Legal XML whitespace characters are: \ (space) \\x9 (tab) \\xD (carriage return) \\xA (line feed)
These are special sequences that instead represent other characters. XML entities always start with an ampersand character and end with a semicolon character ;. The name of the entity is then between these two characters. For example, the entity lt; is used to represent the less-than character
Insert directly in the XML for a blank you would like to preserve. Android doesnt support keeping the spaces at the end of the string in String. xml file so if you want space after string you need to use this unicode in between the words. It is a unicode space character.
