CSS box shadow in one minute you can use box Shadow to draw Shadows for your element on the outside or on the inside now box shutter has a bunch of properties let me show you starting with the horizontal offset if you imagine a black box behind your element the exact same size as your element this is how far left or right say 10 pixels then thereamp;#39;s the vertical offset same deal but vertical say 20 pixels that is the size of the blur by pixel the higher the more blurry say three pixels then the spread this is if you want the shadow to be larger or smaller than the element you can go positive or larger negative or small or you can skip it all together then of course does the color including rgba this is important if you donamp;#39;t specify it and inherits from the text color of the element so Iamp;#39;m going to go green super ugly now remember I said it could be on the inside well if you add inset the whole thing goes on the inside super cool subtle box Shadows are very commo

The CSS box-shadow property is used to apply one or more shadows to an element. Specify a Horizontal and a Vertical Shadow. In its simplest use, you only specify a horizontal and a vertical shadow. Specify a Color for the Shadow. Add a Blur Effect to the Shadow. Set the Spread Radius of the Shadow. Set the inset Parameter.
You can create a shadow effect for an HTML element using CSS. Heres an example: phpCopy code . shadow { box-shadow: 10px 10px 5px grey; } This is a shadowed element.
To add a shadow to text, you can use the CSS text-shadow property. The text-shadow property takes three values: The first value is the horizontal offset of the shadow. A positive value will move the shadow to the right, while a negative value will move the shadow to the left.
You can achieve this with using text-stroke (creating the border around the text) and using text-shadow to set the correct offset for the color blue as shadow color. The color property should be set the same as the background-color property of the surrounding element to get the effect.
In CSS, shadows on the boxes of elements are created using the box-shadow property (if you want to add a shadow to the text itself, you need text-shadow ). The box-shadow property takes a number of values: The offset on the x-axis.
The code for the shadow is: box-shadow: rgb(204, 219, 232) 3px 3px 6px 0px inset, rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.5) -3px -3px 6px 1px inset; The keyword inset is used to specify that we want to use the shadow inwards and not the default behaviour that is outwards .
To create a CSS inner shadow, you must use the box-shadow property with the inset keyword. This is because if the inset keyword is not specified, by default, the shadow will appear as a drop shadow on the outside of the HTML element frame.
