Within Crystal Reports, RPT is used as report or output files, storing data from multiple sources and databases. Users can filter and sort them interactively on PCs and Macs. As report files in AccountEdge Pro, RPT contain data from specific fields to report data in a customisable layout for users.
How to add an existing report as a subreport in another report in Crystal Reports Open the first report in the Crystal Reports application. Go to Insert Subreport. Select the Choose an existing report option. Click Browse. Locate the second report file and open it. Click OK. Place the subreport in the desired section.
Select the Copy button in the Crystal Reports Viewer. The highlighted selection(s) are copied to the clipboard, ready for pasting into another application.
In Page mode, click File Export and select an export format from the list. The Export Options dialog box appears. Select the export options. Click OK You can also set a format as default options.
In Crystal Reports, open the report that contains the subreport to duplicate. In the Design view of the report, right click on the subreport to duplicate, and select Save Subreport As Save the subreport, as a report to your local computer.
Side-by-side installation of different major release of Crystal Reports is supported since Crystal Reports 9, because each major release installs the software in different directory, but Crystal Reports 2020, 2016, 2013 and 2011 cannot be installed on the same computer, because SAP Crystal Reports 2020, 2016 and 2013
