Paste is a commonly used function in computing that allows you to place data into your computers clipboard and then insert it elsewhere. This simple, yet essential, feature is often used with the cut or copy functions.
Paste Special options Select the cells that contain the data or other attributes that you want to copy. On the Home tab, click Copy . Click the first cell in the area where you want to paste what you copied. On the Home tab, click the arrow next to Paste, and then select Paste Special. Select the options you want.
Paste Special can paste numbers with the formatting of the destination where they are being pasted. To do this, copy the numbers to be pasted. Choose Paste Special from the Home tab, select Values and number formats, and click OK.
The standard paste option is the most commonly used and is the default action when you press `Ctrl+V` or click the Paste button. It copies the content, formatting, and comments from the source cells and pastes them into the destination cells.
