Absolutely! Scanning QR codes from screenshots is one of the most common methods, especially on mobile devices. IOS and Android have built-in capabilities to scan QR codes from screenshots, and several third-party apps are available for this purpose.
Heres what to do: Open MS Word and insert a text box. Type the information you want to encode in the QR code. Go to the Insert tab again and select QR Code. Customize the codes type, size, and color. Once you generate the code, it will appear in the document as an image.
If you want to copy the image file from your desktop, Ctrl + click the file, then select Copy. You can now paste the copied QR code anywhere, such as into an email or document.

Many people find themselves in this situation. The good news is that if youve clicked or received a picture of a QR Code and saved it in your gallery, you can scan it anytime at your convenience. Whether you use an iPhone or an Android device, its possible to scan a QR Code from an image.
If you are trying to COPY a QR code by hand for some reason, lay out a grid using very light grid lines, color in the squares carefully filling the square but not going outside the lines, and you might have a QR code that will scan. You dont have to make the copy with the same size grid squares as the orignal.
Once the secure QR code is copied by a counterfeiter, it loses key information which make it possible to detect the code as counterfeit. When counterfeiters copy secure QR codes, the result is detectable using a simple mobile phone camera.
