If you are unable to load a photo or attach a file to a discussion or conversation in Canvas, it is likely a function of being out of personal storage space. Because Canvas is not a file sharing service, your personal storage in Canvas is limited to only 50 MB.

Images that are on the internet can be directly embedded, meaning you dont need to first download it and then upload it. The image doesnt live in Canvas, but it displays in Canvas. The drawback is that if the image is taken down from wherever it is embedded from then it will no longer show up in your course.
