The key difference between PDF and XPS is that PDF can be opened with the use of a browser or a reader while XPS needs to be opened using a browser. While XPS is able to support annotations, PDF is ideal for editing, viewing and compressing documents.
If you're not able to use keyboard shortcuts for copy-paste, try selecting the file/text using your mouse, then select Copy and Paste from the menu. If this works, it means that your keyboard is the problem. Make sure your keyboard is turned on/properly connected and that you're using the right shortcuts.
PDF files do not support Annotations, but XPS files are able to support it. But, this feature is limited. XPS is able to support annotations for typed text, web links, and handwritten text. Users are able to add three options into the documents.
Open a job in the Manage Estimates screen. From the NotePad tab, select the cell of information you want to cut or copy. To cut the information, click Cut on the speedbar. ... Select the cell where you want to paste the information. Click Paste on the speedbar.
The XPS format is similar to PDF because both file types are designed to show the final appearance of a document and provide information for printing. However, XPS files are written in a different programming language.
Malware or viruses can corrupt or disable the clipboard. A large clipboard history that hasn't been cleared recently can cause problems. A faulty keyboard or mouse may not allow you to copy or paste correctly. Corrupt system files or drivers can interfere with the clipboard.
To enable copy-paste from the Command Prompt, open the app from the search bar then right-click at the top of the window. Click Properties, check the box for Use Ctrl+Shift+C/V as Copy/Paste, and hit OK.
