So Pages, Numbers, and Keynote have a common history. They were all once part of the iWork app suite but now they are individual apps. However, they still have a lot in common. As a matter of fact they share a large common code base which means you can copy and paste between them. This can be quite handy if you need to move content from one to the other. For instance if youre working on some data in Numbers and you want to show it in a Keynote presentation or put it into a Pages document you can do that just by copying and pasting. So here I have a Keynote presentation opened up in Keynote. This window here is Numbers with a table and a chart. Here Ive got a Pages document. For instance, lets say that this Pages document is my written report and I want to show a combination of graphics here in my Keynote presentation. So let me add a new slide here, a blank slide, and I will select these elements. Ill hold the Shift key down and select multiple elements. Im going to Command C to c

On the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, click the arrow under Paste, click Paste Special, and then choose one of the options below. Tip: If youd prefer to use the keyboard you can press CTRL+ALT+V to invoke Paste Special.
Paste, or paste and match style Press Command-V. Or choose Edit Paste from the menu bar. Or Control-click (or right-click) the item you selected, then choose Paste from the shortcut menu.
Click where you want the text to appear, then do one of the following: Paste the text with its current formatting into a new paragraph: Choose Edit Paste, or press Command-V on the keyboard. Paste and match the style of the text where youre pasting: Choose Edit Paste and Match Style.
If you want to paste the text and keep the formatting, you can use the Ctrl + V shortcut instead. This will paste the text with the formatting intact. You can also use the Ctrl + Shift + V shortcut to paste text without formatting into a blank document in Microsoft Word.
Copy and paste text styles in Pages on Mac Do one of the following: Select the text with the style you want to copy. Choose Format Copy Style (from the Format menu at the top of your screen). Select other text where you want to apply the style, or place the insertion point in text, then choose Format Paste Style.
Press Ctrl + V on your keyboard to paste the copied text onto the page. Note: When you paste to your new page, you have the option to keep the same formatting or pasting the text without formatting. Use the Paste Options that appear below your copied text to choose your formatting option.
On Windows, you can use the combination Ctrl + Shift + V to paste without formatting in several major programs, such as Google Chrome.
Match Destination Formatting in Google Sheets Right-click the cell where you want to paste (C1). Choose Paste Special. Then, click Paste values only (or use the keyboard shortcut CTRL + SHIFT + V).
In Mac OS X: You can use Shift + Option + Command + V to paste without formatting (or with whatever format the pasted text is placed into).
Select the text you want to find. Click the Format Text tab. Click the Select button, and then click Select Text with Similar Formatting.
