I greet you warmly! Today Im working again on a watercolor paper. I primed this with gesso. Its already dried and now I want to apply a very thinned, additional primer. I chose a yellow and a primary red for this . I apply this very diluted, diluted with water. This bright, luminous background influences my result later. Now that its dry, I can continue I add a cobalt blue and some retarder or wallpaper paste, which gives my color more transparency and some volume, so that I can use my foil technique very well. The paste prevents the paint from drying too quickly, it makes it transparent and it prevents the paint from being too runny.
