[Music] some people prefer using different colors to highlight certain parts of the document to stress parts that are important and need to be stressed upon and like any modern word processor google docs not only lets you highlight text but also different elements in a document like images and tables and heres how to do that first is you have to open google docs in your browser and open a new document or the document youre working on here we have a blank document and we will insert the picture with the text we want to be highlighted by going to the insert tab then select image and then insert the image once inserted what you want to do is insert a rectangular shape by heading to the insert tab again click on drawing and then select new when the drawing box appears choose shapes click on shapes and then draw a rectangular shape the next step is to choose the color by clicking the fill color and choose custom here you can choose your preferred color but make sure to change fill transpa

The process is fairly simple: First, select the first section of text you want as you usually do. Then, press down on the Control key (Ctrl) if you are using Windows PC or the Command key (⌘) if you are using a Mac, and continue selecting the other sections that you want to select.
Paste. On your computer, open a Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides file. Select the text, range of cells, or object you want to copy the format of. In the toolbar, click Paint format. . Select what you want to paste the formatting onto. The formatting will change to be the same as the formatting you copied.
Selecting multiple text sections is extremely simple: select the first bit of text however you would normally, then press either the Command (⌘) or Control key, depending on whether youre using a Mac or Windows machine. Keep holding it down, and select the other bits of text you want.
