Answer: In the open document, move the pointer to the top border of any page in the document. Double click when the icon appears to restore the top and bottom margins / headers footers.
In multi-page documents, headers and footers will appear on every page. This is particularly useful for information such as page numbering. If section breaks have been used in the document, then you are able to change the headers and footers for each section.
Insert a header or footer Go to Insert Header or Footer. Choose the header style you want to use. Add or change text for the header or footer. To eliminate a header--like deleting it on the title page--select it and then check the Different First Page box. Select Close Header and Footer or press Esc to exit.
Use the controls in the Navigation group to display the header or footer you want to copy. Select all the elements (text and graphics) in the header or footer. Press Ctrl+C. This copies the header or footer information to the Clipboard.
