Copy all the data on the sheet by pressing CTRL+C. Open the workbook in which you want to paste the data, then select the + in the status bar to add a new blank worksheet. Select the first cell in the new worksheet, then press CTRL+V to paste the data into that worksheet.
Paste Special options Select the cells that contain the data or other attributes that you want to copy. On the Home tab, click Copy . Click the first cell in the area where you want to paste what you copied. On the Home tab, click the arrow next to Paste, and then select Paste Special. Select the options you want.
Open the workbook in which you want to paste the data, then select the + in the status bar to add a new blank worksheet. Select the first cell in the new worksheet, then press CTRL+V to paste the data into that worksheet.
Click Copy. Click the cell where you want to paste the data. Click the Paste list arrow. To preview a paste option before you commit to it, click the Paste list arrow and hold the mouse over the paste option.
Click the cell where you want to put the data from the text file. On the Data tab, in the Get Transform Data group, click From Text/CSV. In the Import Data dialog box, locate and double-click the text file that you want to import, and click Import.
Excel can import data from external data sources including other files, databases, or web pages. Click the Data tab on the Ribbon.. Click the Get Data button. Select From File. Select From Text/CSV. Select the file you want to import. Click Import. Verify the preview looks correct. Click Load.
Keyboard shortcuts On your computer, open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets. Copy the data you want to paste and put your cursor in the cell you want to paste into. Click Edit. Paste special. Choose from the following: Paste values only: Pastes only the text from the original range of cells.
