If the new field you want to add is similar to an existing field, you can right-click the existing field and click Copy Field. This will create a copy of that fields properties, allowing you to quickly create the new field.
Copying and pasting attribute values Click the Edit tool. on the Editor toolbar and select the features. Click the Attributes button. In the Attributes window, right-click the feature you want to copy from and click Copy Attributes. Right-click the feature you want to paste into and click Paste Attributes.
Copy selected features If necessary, click the tab at the top of the map and turn it dark blue to make it current. On the ribbon, click the Edit tab. Click the Copy button. on the Standard toolbar. Click the Paste button. on the Standard toolbar. Click the layer in which to store the pasted feature. Click OK.
Using the Ctrl C and Ctrl V keyboard shortcuts: You can also use your keyboard to copy and paste Template fields. To copy and paste a field using your keyboard: Select the field you wish to copy and paste. On your keyboard, select Ctrl and C
Select the text you want to copy and press Ctrl+C. Place your cursor where you want to paste the copied text and press Ctrl+V.
A paste operation takes place which visibly inserts the clipboard text at the insertion point. (The paste operation does not typically destroy the clipboard text: it remains available in the clipboard and the user can insert additional copies at other points).
