hey everybody sometimes in excel youre working with data like a date column and a time column but you really just want those two together sometimes so what you can do when youve got a column formatted as day and a column formatted as time is to create a third column and im going to call mine date time and then with dates and times its a little bit different than your usual combinations where typically you would just say something like equals a2 and b2 here but notice that gives us a weird format right thats our date time combined figure its doing some math for us and you would think oh we could just go up and change the format to whatever you know date and time format we want so maybe id find a combined value like this choose okay but it doesnt work because its just looking at a mathematical number there so what were going to have to do here is create a formula that converts these values to text first or you can copy and paste these just as plain text instead of as date or t
