hello in this video Im going to show you how to use the XML library built into Python to edit XML files now it can be a bit complicated Ill go over a few things and ways that I used to make to make small edits to to the file obviously its a good idea to read the documentation first but hopefully after watching this video youll have a general understand you know how this works so I start by copying the the XML file example file that its provided in the in the website what well do lets go to the desktop and create a new text document and lets open it and paste it in save it ctrl s notice fine but whatever whatever software you prefer to use its ok it just needs to be a text editor lets call it sample dot XML write saved on my desktop now we need to use I recommend using Spyder for editing Python script so this is what Im gonna use but obviously you can use which whichever version you prefer or program that you prefer so lets lets save lets save desires on my desktop as an X

The copyright symbol consists of a letter c in a circle, followed by the name of the owner of the copyright and the year the work was first published. For example, the copyright symbol, followed by Jane Doe, comma, 1999, indicates that Jane Doe is the author of the work that was first published in 1999.
The easiest way is to open the XML in Notepad, click File and then click Save as. Select UTF-8 in the Encoding list. And overwrite your current XML file. Another way is use character codes: #169; for copyright and #174; for registred symbols.
