there are a lot of uses for paste special and Im just going to show you one of them right here i have a drawn object that i created using basic rectangle line and circle tools and as far as power points concerned this is a drawing object when i click on this object and go to drawing tools format i have all of the formatting options that i would have for any drawing object or shape but if i wanted some of the picture tool presets instead of the drawing styles what i could do is copy and paste this object as a picture using the paste special feature so selecting my notepad and jumping back to the Home tab first I need to click copy and then if I hover my mouse over the paste icon kind of have two buttons Ive got the standard paste and then i have the paste drop-down arrow which will show me as it tells me more options clicking on that i can then click on paste special which will call up my pace special dialog box and show me all the available formats that i can paste this object as and
