hello and welcome to Excel dashboard templates comm this is Steve equals true please visit my blog in Excel dashboard templates calm or youre sure to learn the latest posts tips tricks and techniques learn everything about Excel alright today I want to show you a technique for copying a chart and putting it in the same worksheet but giving it a new data reference so right now youll see if I click on this chart is referencing the data over in cells b2 through b4 and a lot of people will come and copy the chart do ctrl C and paste the chart and youll notice that it continues to reference the same data set now I think Excel maybe wanted you to say hey Id like to do that but maybe make a different version of it maybe black and white different colors not quite sure or maybe create a chart of that but then change it up to a different type of chart like say you have it this way and you want to make a pie chart after that so not quite sure of thats what the use case was probably just maki

Go to Word Preferences - Edit then change the Insert/Paste Pictures as preference to something other than In line with text. Once youve made the change try pasting the Chart again. Another approach is to right-click the portion of the Chart select a different form of Text Wrap, such as Square or Tight.
Click the tab of the worksheet where you want to paste the chart. Click the cell where you want the upper left-hand corner of the chart, and right-click the cell. There are three paste buttons, as well as Paste Special.
