For Bodies: Open file hinge, select only the bodies and sketches I need, and copy them (something like ctrl+c). Exit hinge Reopen cabinet with doors and paste (something like ctrl+v).
In the material tree, select the material on which to base the custom material. Right-click and select Copy or press Ctrl + C to copy the material to your paste buffer. In the material tree, select a category in a custom library. Right-click and select Paste or press Ctrl + V. Optionally, rename the material.
Right-click on the body in the browser then select Copy. Activate the destination design. Right-click on the top node in the browser and select Paste.
Convert the body to component before copying Convert the body to component. Right click on the component. Select Copy. Open a new blank design. Right click on the Top level component. Select Paste New.
To copy and paste a sketch: Select the closed sketch in the FeatureManager design tree. Click Edit Copy or press Ctrl+C. Click in the sketch or document where you want to paste the center of the sketch.
Pick the top of a feature tree for a component and select Edit Copy. Then go to a drawing and select Edit Paste. SOLIDWORKS has now inserted, or pasted, a copy of that component in a model view in the drawing.
aa. 1 Go to feature manager design tree, and select the feature to copy. Use Ctrl+C for copy the feature, then select the point where you want to place and use Ctrl+V to paste the feature.
To move, copy, rotate, or mate a solid or surface body: Click Move/Copy Bodies (Features toolbar) or Insert Features Move/Copy. Specify parameters to move, copy, or rotate bodies.
