sometimes you have information on one document that you need to transfer to another and it might be formatted a certain way and you dont want it to be formatted that way in the other area one example would be when you have a graphic organizer such as this one maybe you have something like this in your ela class and you need to turn it into the format of the actual essay and a blank document such as this one so if you just tried to copy everything I take this up yet and then come over here and paste and youre gonna end up with the same formatting in bullet points and same font and so on but obviously if Im writing a three paragraph essay or typing a three paragraph essay I dont want bullet points and your teacher probably doesnt want a stylized font like this so instead of pasting with ctrl V when youre in the Edit menu you may notice excuse me the Edit menu rather that there is another option below paste that says paste without formatting and you can see the keyboard shortcut for
