hi in this video weamp;#39;re going to show you how to set the keep text only paste option as default for Microsoft Word so normally if you copy some text from letamp;#39;s say another document or a web page and paste it in itamp;#39;ll keep the formatting of that document or web page and itamp;#39;s not going to match what you have here necessarily so of course you could do the paste special or do the uh go up here and paste you know paste text only option manually but if you want to have this set to be your default of the time itamp;#39;s really easy to change so let me show you an example here so now we have the default font here calibri with at 11 which is the default for word so if we go to this website here letamp;#39;s say weamp;#39;re going to paste in this text that we found we want to put this in our document so weamp;#39;ll copy it go over here paste it in you can see it keeps the formatting from that page with The Bold and the different font so of course wha

Then, press Ctrl+C (Windows) or ⌘+C (Mac) to copy text. You can paste the contents of the clipboard outside the document. When you do, the text is inserted into the new location without its formatting such as bold, italics, or a particular color. You can reapply these in the new location.
The Paste Options If you dont see the button, it might be turned off. Follow these steps to turn it on. Go to File Options Advanced. In the Cut, copy, and paste section, select Show Paste Options button when content is pasted.
Keep source Formatting: This option preserves the look of the original text. Merge Formatting: This option changes the formatting so that it matches the text that surrounds it. Keep Text Only: This option removes all the original formatting from the text.
By default, Word preserves the original formatting when you paste content into a document using Ctrl+V, the Paste button, or right-click + Paste.
Use Ctrl+C to copy, or right-click and choose Copy. Then paste it with Ctrl+V or Paste from the context menu. Theres also Paste Special, which pastes without any formatting. And the Cut option removes content and stores it on the clipboard.
Run Word in Safe Mode. If there are conflicting add-ins or extensions running in the background, you may be unable to take advantage of the copy-and-paste functionality in Word. Running Word in safe mode is an effective way to rule out problems related to add-ins/extensions.
How to copy and paste an entire page Press Ctrl+A on your keyboard. This selects all the text on the page. Press Ctrl+C to copy this content. Choose a different document and place your cursor in the location where you want to paste your content. Press Ctrl+V on your keyboard.
Paste allows you to insert formatted text, unformatted text, or an image.
