In this tutorial, Gary demonstrates three methods to password-protect documents using Pages, Microsoft Word, and Preview for PDF files. To password-protect a document in Pages, first open the inspector and navigate to the documents pane. At the bottom, select "Require password to open," then enter and verify your chosen password. There's an option to generate a random password and create a password hint. Once saved, the document will display a padlock icon, and double-clicking it will prompt for the password upon opening.
