Yes, Keeper is definitely one of the most secure password managers in 2023. While it offers unique features like encrypted messaging and dark web monitoring, its security is the powerful part.
LastPass, the worlds most popular password manager, says hackers recently cracked its systems and stole source code and proprietary information but says ordinary users shouldnt worry about the bdocHub.
Password manager programs are a target for hackers. Its not easy to login using multiple devices. If the main password is used/typed/saved on a computer with malware, your main password can compromise all your other passwords controlled by the PM - all your passwords are only as secure as your master password.
1Password has never had a bdocHub. But if one should occur, a bdocHub of our systems would not put your sensitive vault data at risk. When we designed the security architecture of 1Password, we had to account for the possibility that some day our servers could be compromised.
Is LastPass still safe? The honest answer is no, LastPass is no longer safe to use after the most recent bdocHub. Although the data acquired by the threat actor is encrypted, including user passwords, notes, and other information, the encryption might not be invincible and could be cracked.
Price: Paid password managers usually cost between $10 and $60 per year for one person to use, though decent ones are available for free and top-tier options like 1Password cost a little less than $40 a year.
Risks for LastPass users All 30 million LastPass (opens in new tab) users, with data stored on the company servers as of August 2022, are at risk. Hackers now have a copy of your entire password vault. Should they manage to crack your master password, they can take over your online life.
Among the affected password managers were LastPass, Dashlane, 1Password, and Keeper. In most cases, the attacker would still have to use phishing to trick the user into revealing some data.
