Because babies can get sick from incorrectly prepared formulas, learning the correct way to prepare it is a key skill for any new parent. There are three basic kinds of formula. This video will show you how to safely prepare the most difficult one which is powdered infant formula. Remember, powdered infant formula should not be given to babies younger than two months of age because newborn babies are still developing their immune system so the safest formula for them is ready-to-feed or liquid concentrate. First, wash your hands using soap and hot water. Then you need to clean and sterilize all utensils, containers, digital food thermometers, and counters. To sterilize baby feeding equipment, first wash items in hot soapy water and rinse with hot water. Then boil items in an uncovered pot of deep water for two minutes. Remove items from the pot and leave to air dry. Once you have all your sterilized tools, you can prepare the formula. You may wanna make formula for the day all at once

Most manufacturers use the same recipe: 1 level scoop of powder for every 2 fluid ounces of water. Add powder to pre-measured water, and shake it vigorously.
451.2 Mailability. Liquids and powders that are nonhazardous (i.e., not regulated as hazardous materials) are mailable provided they are properly packaged as specified in 451.3. Any matter that is a source of an obnoxious odor is nonmailable.
This means that youre bringing the scoop up from the container and then leveling it with a knife (or a clean finger). Do not tap the scoop, as this will cause the formula to pack and throw off the ratio.
Rules for USPS. Nonflammable liquids and nonhazardous liquids can be sent via USPS, if sealed inside a waterproof container. A recently proposed rule change states that mailers must mark the outer container of a mailpiece containing liquid to indicate the nature of the contents, and include orientation arrows.
Dont pack the formula scoop. When measuring formula powder, fill the scoop that comes with the formula you are using. Use a knife to scrape off extra powder. You dont need to pack the scoop with powder.
The safest way to transport formula is to take cooled, boiled water and the powdered formula in separate containers. But if you need to transport bottles of formula that are already made up, make sure the formula is icy cold when you leave the house.
A: A scoop is included with our Enspire Refill Boxes. It is important to use a scoop from the same product you are using.
By Weight and Volume: How Much Is A Scoop Of Formula? Every formula brand will have a slightly different measurement, although the majority of scoops are about 3.5 teaspoons, which is also equivalent to a rounded tablespoon or roughly 3 grams in weight.
2 fl oz - 1 scoop (8.7g) - 2 fl oz.
Use a Corrugated Cardboard Box Instead of an Envelope to Ship Baby Formula. Use Protective Packing Material Such as Bubble Wrap or Air Pillows to Take Up Space in Your Box. Opt for a Speedy Shipping Service like USPS First Class Package or USPS Priority Mail. Save Money on USPS Labels With Online Shipping Software.
