Hello everybody, welcome to the CSS3 course. In this video, Im going to talk about the ways to style a table. So before I discuss the styling techniques, Im going to show you the web page on the right-hand side, followed by the HTML code on the left hand side. So my website has two tables. And Im going to show you the HTML code corresponding to these two tables. So for the first one, I simply have a caption. And after the caption, I have a table head, okay. And inside the table head, I just include some column headers. And Im able to use this pattern to represent this particular cell element content: nbsp; means Im going to include a non-breaking space character. So here it is a space, and I can simply continue my headers by including the scope equals col attribute-value pair inside the th tab, which is the opening tag, okay. And I can continue to see that the table body is shown below, and on this body I just include some row headers. And after the row headers, I just include

The border attribute on the table element is obsolete. Use CSS instead. The cellpadding attribute on the table element is obsolete.
Go to Table Tools Design Table Styles Borders, and then click the border option that you want to change.Add or change a table border Use Pen Color to change the color of the border. Use Pen Weight to change the thickness of the border. Use Pen Style to change the line style of the border.
When you insert a table in Word, a border is automatically created for each cell in the table. This border is a single line, one-half point in weight. Unfortunately, Word provides no way for you to change the default line width you use when creating the table.
Border- Border attribute with tag is used to specify the thickness of the border lines around the table. The value of the border attribute should be a non zero value in pixels. If its value is zero, HTML displays the table without a border. The default value is Zero in most browsers.
Previously used to define a border on an image element. It has been deprecated and should no longer be used. Toggled media player controls when used in conjunction with the dynsrc attribute. Both attributes are now deprecated.
Table without Border is one of the ways of table representation. The table format can also be achieved using other HTML tags like ul li, div, etc., but the use of a table for tabular structure reduces the styling work while the use of div for tabular design is increasing due to the responsive design approach.
So in the top table, the table has a 1px border, and the cell inside also does. And there you have it, 2px border in total.
Deprecated: This feature is no longer recommended. Though some browsers might still support it, it may have already been removed from the relevant web standards, may be in the process of being dropped, or may only be kept for compatibility purposes.
The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) discourages use of tables for layout because they are striving for a web in which content and structure are completely separate from presentation. This allows content to be rendered meaningfully across a wide variety of devices.
So in the top table, the table has a 1px border, and the cell inside also does.
