Begin the reference list on a new page. The page begins with the word References (Reference if there is only one), centered in the top, middle of the page. If the references take up more than one page, do not re-type the word Reference (s) on sequential pages, simply continue your list.
Reference list entries should be alphabetized by the last name of the first author of each work. For multiple articles by the same author, or authors listed in the same order, list the entries in chronological order, from earliest to most recent.
If you merely mention a website, yes. But, if you quote or paraphrase information from individual pages on a website, create a unique reference for each one. This allows your reader to find your exact source.
Your references should begin on a new page separate from the text of the essay; label this page References centered at the top of the page (do NOT bold, underline, or use quotation marks for the title). All text should be double-spaced just like the rest of your essay.
The list of references must be on a new page at the end of your text. The word References should be centered at the top of the page. Do not underline, bold, enlarge or use quotes for the word References. The reference list must include all references cited in the text of your paper.
Begin the reference list on a new page after the text. Place the section label References in bold at the top of the page, centered. Order the reference list entries alphabetically.
Last Updated: 11 Feb, 2022 63231 If you are using a style in which the authors name goes in the text (like APA), then you put the reference list in alphabetical order. If you are using numbered style (like AMA), then your references will be listed in the order in which they appear in text.
Entries in the reference list should be in alphabetical order by authors surnames. In cases where two or more of the authors have the same surname, arrange the works in alphabetical order based on their initials. Where two entries are by the same author, arrange the works chronologically from oldest to newest.
Appropriate level of citation Instead, when paraphrasing a key point in more than one sentence within a paragraph, cite the source in the first sentence in which it is relevant and do not repeat the citation in subsequent sentences as long as the source remains clear and unchanged.
Reference list entries should be alphabetized by the last name of the first author of each work. For multiple articles by the same author, or authors listed in the same order, list the entries in chronological order, from earliest to most recent.
