Type the word you wish to remove from the dictionary (again, don't press the spacebar). Press and hold the Control key on your keyboard, click the word and select the option 'Unlearn Spelling'.
Keyboard shortcuts to delete words or an entire phrase on macOS Delete + fn deletes letter by letter to the right of the cursor. Delete + option key (Alt) will delete the entire word to the left of the cursor. Delete + fn + option key (Alt) will delete the entire word to the right of the cursor.
