first Thessalonians chapter four the the passage in the church Bibles is found on page 836 but as I have mentioned from the beginning of our series here in 1st Thessalonians this book is divided neatly really into three kind of topics trials will come thatamp;#39;s chapters one through three temptations will come thatamp;#39;s chapter four itamp;#39;s where we are so weamp;#39;ll see that in the first part of chapter four and then Jesus will come thatamp;#39;s emphasized in chapter four and five but itamp;#39;s really mentioned throughout the whole book because every single chapter ends with some reference to the second coming of Christ so thatamp;#39;s where we are letamp;#39;s letamp;#39;s pause and have a word of prayer and then weamp;#39;ll jump in here to the chapter four together I should probably caution that if you might happen to have young ones in the room and I would say like under middle school age you might want to consider while Iamp;#39;m praying to slip out w

Let me repeat that: There are NO missing verses in the NIV. Unfortunately the authors of the NIV decided to remove certain verses from the main Biblical text because the oldest and most reliable manuscripts do not have them. But all the verses that have been taken out are found in the footnotes.
Text. The Johannine Comma is a short clause found in 1 John 5:78. The King James Bible (1611) contains the Johannine comma. Erasmus omitted the text of the Johannine Comma from his first and second editions of the Greek-Latin New Testament (the Novum Instrumentum omne) because it was not in his Greek manuscripts.
Translation philosophy The New American Standard Bible is considered by some sources as the most literally translated of major 20th-century English Bible translations. The NASB is an original translation from the Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts.
The verses that our modern translations omit are just not found in our older and more reliable manuscripts, and hence they are not included or they are footnoted in our modern translations.
The sixteen omitted verses Matthew 17:21. Matthew 18:11. Matthew 23:14. Mark 7:16. Mark 9:44 and 9:46. Mark 11:26. Mark 15:28. Luke 17:36.
If you want to look for yourself, here are those 16 missing verses. Mathew 23:14, Matthew 17:21, Matthew 18:11. Mark 7:16, Mark 9:44, Mark 9:46, Mark 11:26, Mark 15:28. Luke 17:36. John 5:4. Acts 8:37, Acts 15:34, Acts 24:7, Acts 28:29. Romans 16:24.
Heres the good news: no verses are missing. The King James Version translators used the best manuscripts available to them in 1611. Fortunately, since that time many older manuscripts have been discovered and carefully evaluated by scholars, with the conclusion that the older manuscripts are more reliable.
It omits outright the following sixteen: Matthew 17:21; Mark 7:16; 9:44, 46; 11:26; 15:28; Luke 17:36; 23:17; 24:40; John 5:4; Acts 8:37; 15:34; 24:7; 28:29; Romans 16:24; 1 John 5:7.
