Drag the bottom of the section up or right-click on the section and select Fit to Section. If there are no fields in the section, right-click and select Suppress (No Drill-Down) Right-click on the section and select Section Expert. Mark the Suppress Blank Section checkbox.
To mimic hiding of the SubReport item inside the main report, you could set its height to 0 (zero). This way it will not occupy space when there is nothing to render. However, when there is data in the sub-report, it will grow automatically to occupy the needed space.
In the Crystal report, highlight the desired field. Click the right mouse button and choose Format Field. Mark Suppress if Duplicated and click OK. Refresh the report data.
Within Crystal Reports, RPT is used as report or output files, storing data from multiple sources and databases. Users can filter and sort them interactively on PCs and Macs. As report files in AccountEdge Pro, RPT contain data from specific fields to report data in a customisable layout for users.
To suppress blank sections: Go to Report Section Expert. Highlight the section that is showing blanks (in this example, the Details section) Mark the Suppress Blank Section checkbox. Click OK.
If you want to hide controls on a subreport when the subreport has no data, so that the controls dont print in this case, you can use the HasData property in a macro or event procedure that runs when the Format or Print event occurs. The NoData event occurs before the first Page event for the report.
Answer: Within the subreport, go to Report Section Expert. Mark the Suppress Blank Section checkbox for each section that is not already suppressed. In the main report, right-click on the subreport box and select Format Subreport. On the Subreport tab, mark the Suppress Blank Subreport checkbox. Click OK.
