setfacl sets (replaces), modifies, or removes the access control list (ACL) to regular files and directories. It also updates and deletes ACL entries for each file and directory that was specified by path. If path was not specified, then file and directory names are read from standard input (stdin).
How to Delete ACL Entries From a File Delete ACL entries from a file by using the setfacl command. $ setfacl -d acl-entry-list filename -d. Deletes the specified ACL entries. acl-entry-list. To verify that the ACL entries were deleted from the file, by using the getfacl command. $ getfacl filename.
--None--: Grant access to records and all fields in the records. *: Grant access to all fields where there is no field-specific Access Control.
Use the kafka-delete-records command line tool to delete all messages from a topic for a specific offset range. First you need to find out the offset, you can use the following command to get offset that points to the first record in the topic.
Simply loop the command through all the topics. You can use kafka-acls --bootstrap-server kafka:9092 --remove --topic * . The --topics argument accepts wildcards: --topic topic to which ACLs should be added or removed.
Kafka ACLs work on the principle that Deny takes precedence over Allow. So if a user has both Deny and Allow to the one operation on the one resource group, that user will be denied.
You can use the bin/kafka-delete-records.sh command to delete the bad data from Kafka. This command allows you to delete all the records from the beginning of a partition, until the specified offset. Given the example log entry above, the details of the record to be deleted are for partition Topic0-0 at offset 2.
ACLs created with kafka-acls are stored in ZooKeeper, then cached in memory by every broker to enable fast lookups when authorizing requests.
