okay so welcome to part two of creating a more modern looking wpf application using myapps.metro which i defined as the bootstrap or one of the styling libraries that you can use for free its open source with wpf and make your app look pretty sharp without having to customize all of the things they kind of do it for you if you havent watched the first video i recommend doing so if youre following along especially because we set up myapps.metro and our wpf app so now we can reference the controls and the styling and i also have a playlist of all of these videos if youre watching this in the future and i also plan on having my github commit per video down in the description so if you want to see all of the code after each video you can go down there and check that out that was the best way i could think of doing it maybe after each video i go ahead and commit all of my code and you can go check it out if you like this stuff feel free to subscribe i just show different things in progr

Unfortunately WPF does not provide any function to remove the icon of a window. One solution could be setting the icon to a transparent icon. But this way the extra space between the window border and title remains. The better approach is to use a function provided by the Win32 API to remove the icon.
Some instructions on how to set the application icon in a WPF / XAML application to something other than the default icon. Step 1: Create a new WPF application: Step 2: Right click your project folder and set properties: Step 3: Set the Main Window properties. Step 4: Rebuild and run your project.
Remove Title Bar from your WPF application Do through coding ( Code Behind ). this.WindowStyle = WindowStyle.None; Do through XAML. Add in the WindowStyle attribute to the Window Tag. Window WindowStyle=None Editing through the properties ( Ultimately, this changes the XAML )
1) You should set the ResizeMode to NoResize which will remove the Minimum and Maximum boxes. 2) Use pinvoke to disable the close box.
You can change the background colour of the TilteBar by overriding the RibbonWindow template in App. Xaml and change the value of Background property in TitleBarStyleKey. The following code example demonstrates the same.
1) You should set the ResizeMode to NoResize which will remove the Minimum and Maximum boxes. 2) Use pinvoke to disable the close box.
Visibility = Visibility. Collapsed; Hidden hides the button but the button will still take up space in the UI. Collapsed will collapse the button such that it has zero width and height.
First, set WindowStyle=None on your Window. That will remove the built-in title bar and allow you to do everything on your own.
