hey guys this is Dan strong with excel vba is fun today weve got an exciting lesson and were gonna explore several different ways to manipulate or control the user forms text box and what we want to do is we want to restrict what the users can type so we may only want to allow numerals we may want only want to allow certain types of text or characters in a field or we might want to just include only something numeric but it may include commas and decimal points so were gonna show you different ways to restrict that and so lets go ahead and begin by going to the visual basic editor of course were gonna hit alt f11 or 4 on the windows computer so click here all to f11 if youre on a Mac sorry user forms are not ready for editing you might want to use parallels or boot camp in order to manipulate a user form can I still run a user form if Im using a Mac that was perhaps designed on a Windows computer yes you can anyway to get into visual basic editor youre gonna hit option f11 or y
