[Music] hey friends cloud bart here time for another one minute identity and access management lesson in previous videos you may have heard me talking about using tags such as like an ec2 instance tag to identify resources but then also being able to use them as a way of identifying permission scenarios based on the tags that a particular resource might have well did you know resource tagging is available for iam users as well so this means that when we create users we can also give them a tag value and that can control what permissions that user might be able to affect on other resources and also we can control what other permissions might be granted against that resource for the user itself so weve got resource tags all over the place and we can use them to identify and qualify conditions in a number of useful scenarios so lets take a few minutes here in this video and talk about a couple of scenarios in which this might work so heading on over to the management console lets start

Once the customer makes a change, they can click on the modify contract button to commit the changes. The new terms go into effect immediately and the previous terms are overwritten, with no interruption to thier existing service.
For example - services like ec2,s3,lambda,dynamodb - has tagging feature, so that resources can be identified by tags(assuming they are tagged). Services like sns,sqs - do not have tagging option.
Select the AMI with the AMI name you just created. Select the Tags tab for the AMI. Click Add/Edit Tags Create Tag.
Tags enable you to categorize your AWS resources in different ways, for example, by purpose, owner, or environment. This is useful when you have many resources of the same typeyou can quickly identify a specific resource based on the tags that youve assigned to it.
To delete a tag (console) Sign into the AWS Management Console and open the AWS Certificate Manager console at . Choose the arrow next to the certificate with a tag that you want to delete.
Previously, you had to tag AMIs after their creation, which required additional API calls and had the possibility of missing untagged AMIs when tag-based controls are used. Upon creation, you can now tag your AMIs and EBS snapshots through the CreateImage API or the console.
Select your AMI in the list, and then choose Actions, Edit AMI permissions. Choose Private. Under Shared accounts, choose Add account ID. For AWS account ID, enter the AWS account ID with which you want to share the AMI, and then choose Share AMI.
During the AMI-creation process, Amazon EC2 creates snapshots of your instances root volume and any other EBS volumes attached to your instance. Youre charged for the snapshots until you deregister the AMI and delete the snapshots.
