Dilute one part white distilled vinegar with one part water. Most other types of vinegar can stain paper, so be sure the vinegar you use is completely clear. White vinegar can remove other pigmented stains like ink, grass, or mustard. Its also a natural mold and mildew cleaner.
Dampen the stained area with a few drops of water. Use a damp microfiber cloth with a drop of dish soap to scrub the stained area gently. Wipe off the soapy residue and extra moisture with a clean, damp cloth. Use rubbing alcohol and a paper towel for more stubborn stains.
Use a clean cotton bud and some clean cold water and gently dab the blood stain enough to moisten and dilute it slightly. Use a dry cotton bud to roll over the surface and mop up the blood.
Sometimes, soaking blood stained fabric and then washing it in the washing machine is enough to remove a dried blood stain. However, it is recommended that you air dry the fabric rather than dry it in a dryer. If a stain still remains after washing, heat can set the stain. Scrub with soap and water.
Sponge the stained area with a dry-cleaning solvent; let it air-dry. Soak the stain in a solution of one cup of liquid laundry detergent and a few drops of ammonia (Caution: Never mix chlorine bleach and ammonia - the resulting fumes are hazardous) for at least 30 minutes. Launder using liquid laundry detergent.
How to Get Dried Blood Stains Out of Sheets: 3 Steps Soak the sheets in cold water overnight. This will help loosen the dried blood. Pour hydrogen peroxide on the stain. Then, use a soft-bristled brush to pat it in. Machine wash your sheets in a regular wash cycle using cold water and a mild laundry detergent.
