You can create an array without specifying the size - in a few ways: The syntax new int [] { 0, 1, 2, 99 } creates an array without a variable (name) and is mostly used to pass as an argument to a method; for example: An array can be created from the data in a List or a Set collection. How can we create array without specifying a size in java? - Quora Quora How-can-we-create-array-with Quora How-can-we-create-array-with
In array, we can randomly access elements by directly going to particular index like array[0], array[5]. This random access is possible because fixed memory gets allocated for array elements based upon its type. then we know array[1] will be located at 4471 and so on. So it is must to declare size of an array.
If youre using an initializer list with all elements, you dont need to mention the size of the array. If you want to initialize all the elements to 0, there is a shortcut for this (Only for 0). We can simply mention the index as 0.
In C++ we can use generic vector and use pushback() to insert elements without actually specifying the size. Thats what std::vector is for. std::array needs its size to be known at compile time, and T[] when its created, but std::vector can be dynamically resized, and is by default created with zero elements. Can you declare an array without assigning the size of an array? Quora Can-you-declare-an-array-with Quora Can-you-declare-an-array-with
Omitting array size during initialization: Here we are not declaring size while initializing the array. int arr[] = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5}; The above examples do the same job. An array of size 5 gets created with the above elements inside of it.
Array Initialization with Declaration without Size The size of the array in these cases is equal to the number of elements present in the initializer list as the compiler can automatically deduce the size of the array. datatype arrayname[] = {1,2,3,4,5};
We can also initialize a two-dimensional array in the form of a matrix as shown below int a[2][3]={ {0,0,0}, {1,1,1} }; When the array is completely initialized with all values, explicitly we need not specify the size of the first dimension. scanning array without size int main() { int i,j,arr[10]; while((scanf(%d,arr[i]))!=-1){ i++; for(j=0;j
