Cause. This issue may occur if the printer driver uses the XML Paper Specification (XPS) PageScaling feature. When the driver uses this feature, Excel cannot determine the scale of the workbook.
How to Adjust Margins and Orientation in Excel Click the Page Layout tab. Click the Margins button. Select the margin size you want to use from the list. If you dont see a margin size that works, select Custom Margins to display the Page Setup dialog box. Here you can set your own custom margins.

Then click the Margins tab within the Page Setup dialog box. You can set the margins in Excel for your worksheet on the Margins tab. Use the spinner arrows at the right of each margins text box to set the Top, Right, Bottom, and Left margins widths, in inches.
