By default, ggplot2 will automatically build a legend on your chart as soon as a shape feature is mapped to a variable in aes() part of the ggplot() call. So if you use color , shape or alpha , a legend will be available.
Here are the steps to do it in Excel: Click on the chart to select it. Click on the legend to select it. Click on the legend entry that you want to delete. Press the Delete key on your keyboard.
To remove legend items, expand the legend in the Contents pane to see the items, right-click an item, and click Remove. Uncheck a legend item to turn off its visibility without removing it from the legend.
On the Design tab, in the Data group, click Select Data. In the Select Data Source dialog box, in the Legend Entries (Series) box, select the legend entry that you want to change. Click Edit. Tip: To add a new legend entry, click Add, or to remove a legend entry, click Remove.
How to remove a legend in ggplot r? Complete Removal: Use `theme(legend. position = none)` for a global solution. Selective Removal: Target specific aesthetics with `guides()`. For instance, `guides(fill = none)` would remove a fill legend while keeping others.
How do I remove unwanted legend entries? Click the menu in the upper left of your map and choose FIELDS. Click on the field you want to edit. Find the value you want to delete. Then, click the delete button next to the value to delete it. Scroll down and click SAVE to save your changes. Refresh the page.
To remove the legend from our box plot with outliers in ggplot2 , we can add the guides() function and set fill = FALSE within it.
Below are two ways to remove a legend from a plot: Use the findobj function to find the legend(s) and the delete function to delete them: % Find and delete the legend. lgd = findobj(type, legend) If you do not want to delete the legend, you can turn off the legends visibility: set(lgd(idx), visible, off)
