Click Check for Issues and then Inspect Document Select the items you want the tool to check for and especially Document Properties and Personal Information Click the Inspect button. In the window that opens, click Remove All next to the items you want to remove.
Open Microsoft Word and click the File menu in the upper left hand corner, then click Options. 2. The Word Options window appears. Enter the desired User name and Initials and click OK.
From the Word Preferences dialog box, select User Information under the Personal Settings heading. Delete all the personal information that is displayed, click OK, then save your document.
Remove personal information from a document On the Word menu, click Preferences. Under Privacy options, select the Remove personal information from this file on save check box. Save the document.
Resolution Open the document and click File, then Info. Click Check for Issues. On the drop down list select Inspect Document. In the Document Inspector dialog box, make sure only Document Properties and Personal Information is checked. Click Inspect. If any information is found in the document, select Remove All.
Mac usersWord 2019 Click on Word and then Preferences. Click on Security. Make sure the checkbox is checked for Remove personal information from this file on save.
If you wish to change all this, you can take the following steps; Open the Document and select the File tab. Select Trust Center Settings on the right to open the Trust Center dialog box. Clear the Remove Personal Information from the File Properties. Click OK in all dialog boxes.
Change your user name and initials In an open document, click the Office button. , and then click the Options button at the bottom of the menu. In the dialog box, change your user name and initials in the User Name and Initials boxes.
