If you are not the creator/owner then you cannot delete the file. Perhaps the file was shared with you. There could be a few reasons why you are unable to delete certain files on Google Drive. It is possible that the file is shared with someone else and they have set the permissions so that you cannot delete it.
In your Google doc, select Tools from the toolbar. Next, select Spelling and grammar and then Personal dictionary. Next to the word you want to delete, you should see a trashcan icon.
Just go to the Edit menu and click Find and Replace. Then, enter the text you want to redact in the Find field and leave the Replace field blank. Click Replace all, and the text will be hidden.
