hello and welcome to the video by Trump Excel I am so miss Mansell and in this video I am going to show you how to highlight the active row and the active column based on the cell selection in your data set so here I have this data set and see what happens when I make a selection it would instantly highlight the row number the active row and the active column based on this cell selection and when I make a change in this election it would remove the previous highlight and it would highlight based on this selection now this is useful if you have a huge data set and you want to track what is the column which is the column that you have selected or which is the row that you have selected then you can use this method now you do not have to use the same color you can use different colors so in this case when I make a selection here you can see the column and the row gets highlighted in different colors now lets see how to create this so I have this data set here and I have not created that

To remove conditional formatting from specific cells, select the cells, click the Quick Analysis button, and click Clear Format. To remove all conditional formatting from the entire worksheet,click the Conditional Formatting button on the HOME tab, point to Clear Rules, and click Clear Rules from Entire Sheet.
Double-click the cell, and then drag across the contents of the cell that you want to select. Click the cell, and then drag across the contents of the cell that you want to select in the formula bar.
Go to the Data tab in Excel and click on the Filter icon. Click on the small arrow next to the needed column name, go to Filter by Color and pick the correct cell color. Click OK and see all highlighted cells on top. Select the filtered colored cells, right-click on them and pick the Delete Row option from the menu.

One way is to use the Clear Rules feature. To do this, select the cells that have the conditional formatting that you want to remove. Then, go to Home Styles Clear Rules. Select Clear Rules from Selected Cells.
To remove any background colors, patterns, or fill effects from cells, just select the cells. Then click Home arrow next to Fill Color, and then pick No Fill.
To clear all contents, formats, and comments that are contained in the selected cells, click Clear All. To clear only the formats that are applied to the selected cells, click Clear Formats. To clear only the contents in the selected cells, leaving any formats and comments in place, click Clear Contents.
How to Manage Conditional Formatting in Excel Click a cell in the range of an existing conditional formatting rule. Click the Conditional Formatting button on the Home tab. Select Manage Rules. Select the rule you want to edit. Click Edit Rule. Make your changes to the rule. Click OK.
