Push F5 to open the styles side pane. Click on the fourth icon (Page Styles) from the left in the toolbar. Right click on the current (highlighted) style, likely to be Default Style and choose Modify . Go to the Footer and header tabs to disable (uncheck) the footer and header.
Click or tap where you want to start a new page without the header or footer. Go to Layout Breaks Next Page to create a section break. Double-click the header or footer area (near the top or bottom of the page) to open the Header Footer tab. Select Link to Previous to turn off the link between the sections.
Removing a Header or Footer Position the insertion point anywhere in the FIRST line of the page on which you want to remove the header or footer. On the Document tab, click Attach. Select No header and/or No footer to exclude a header and/or footer from appearing on the page. Click OK.
Turning off print headers and footers in Chrome In the Chrome menu, click Print to open the print preview screen. Click More Settings. Uncheck Headers and Footers.
Remove all headers and footers Go to Insert Header or Footer, and then select Remove Header or Remove Footer. If your document has more than one section, repeat this process for each section.
Add or remove headers or footers On the Insert tab, in the Header Footer group, click Header or Footer. Select the options you want from the toolbar, type the header or footer text you want, and then apply the font and paragraph settings you want to the header and footer text.
On the ribbon, click Document | Modify. In the Header/Footer dialog, select either Header or Footer. You can hide the current header or footer by clicking Document | Modify again. You can change the active header or footer by clicking the Modify drop-down and selecting the header or footer to use from the list.
Remove all headers and footers Go to Insert Header or Footer, and then select Remove Header or Remove Footer. If your document has more than one section, repeat this process for each section.
