hey folks when i was first learning about the tidy verse and deep plier and ggplot2 and all the other great tools um one of the things that just really captivated me was the ability to use group by and summarize together to aggregate my data and then output a summary statistic like you know ive got a whole bunch of values for different categories i want to know the average value across each of those different categories group by summary just fit the bill and i remember thinking like why do they have group by and summarize as two separate functions i only ever use them together right i would never use group by by on itself right well would you in todays episode what im going to show you is how you can use group by in a number of different contexts other than just group by and summarize and so thats exactly what im going to show you how to do today we are going to use our weather data looking at temperature data to see a variety of ways that we can use group by to aggregate our data

Remove highly correlated predictors from the model. If you have two or more factors with a high VIF, remove one from the model. Because they supply redundant information, removing one of the correlated factors usually doesnt drastically reduce the R-squared.
However features which are highly correlated together (i.e. between features, not with the target response), should usually be removed because they are redundant and some algorithms dont deal very well with those. Its rarely done systematically though, because again this involves a lot of calculations.
Step 1 - Import the library. import pandas as pd import numpy as np from sklearn import datasets. Step 2 - Setup the Data. Step 3 - Creating the Correlation matrix and Selecting the Upper trigular matrix. Step 5 - Droping the column with high correlation. Step 6 - Analysing the output.
There are multiple ways to deal with this problem. The easiest way is to delete or eliminate one of the perfectly correlated features. Another way is to use a dimension reduction algorithm such as Principle Component Analysis (PCA).
To remove a specific value from a vector use R base bracket [] notation, If you are not aware the [] notation is used to select elements, by negating this you can remove elements.
The potential solutions include the following: Remove some of the highly correlated independent variables. Linearly combine the independent variables, such as adding them together. Partial least squares regression uses principal component analysis to create a set of uncorrelated components to include in the model.
In general, it is recommended to avoid having correlated features in your dataset. Indeed, a group of highly correlated features will not bring additional information (or just very few), but will increase the complexity of the algorithm, thus increasing the risk of errors.
Features without much variance or variability in the data do not provide any information to an ML model for learning the patterns. For example, a feature with only 5 as a value for every record in a dataset is a constant and is an unimportant feature to be used. Removing this feature is essential.
