strip() The . strip() method is designed to eliminate both leading and trailing characters from a string.
By default, browsers add bullets on unordered lists. To remove bullets from a li with CSS, add list-style-type: none to your code. This code targets the CSS selector ul, which selects all HTML tags - the ones used for unordered lists, and adds the CSS list-style-type: none to remove the bullets.
replace(/[.]/g, ); The first line of code declares a variable myVar and assigns it to a string with dots. The second line uses the replace() method to remove all dots ( [.] ) with an empty string ( ) globally ( g ).
We can convert the string into an array of characters, use the map() method to iterate over each character, and replace dots with spaces. Finally, we join the array back into a string. Example: In this example, we replace dots (. ) with spaces ( ) using the map() method.
We can use this regex with the substitution operator ( s/// ) to remove any dots from the start of a string. We use our regex as the first argument to the substitution operator and an empty string as the second argument (which is used as the replacement string).
Remove Specific Characters From the String If we want to remove that specific character, we can replace that character with an empty string. The str. replace() method will replace all occurrences of the specific character mentioned.
Then, below the adddots function, write another function named removedots that removes all dots from a string. For example, calling removedots(t.e.s.t) should return test . If both functions are correct, calling removedots(adddots(string)) should return back the original string for any string.
