we talk about a feature in word today called show/hide you can find this on the Home tab on the Home tab in the paragraph section theres a button here its called show/hide and essentially what it does is kind of a tool that you can use to decode a word document where it always does these weird things for us right where you know Im editing and something else happens on some other page and we think its like voodoo some thing thats possessed on our computer and its typically not um its usually us its usually the way weve created this document or someones created it and we just dont create it in the same manner so I have a pretty straightforward document Ive got some different sections here and Id like to go over how it was created I want to know so as an example this looks like a nice cover page its going to zoom out here so theres a cover page nice title on it things starts on the next page so lets just say I came here and I said oh you know what Im going to add my name

Place the cursor next to the text then press Backspace key. Place the cursor to the left of the text then press Delete key. Select the text and press the Backspace or Delete key.
Pressing the fn (function) key plus the Delete key deletes text to the right of the insertion marker. Another way to delete text in Word is to select the text to delete within the document. Then press the Delete key on your keyboard to remove it.
The Backspace key erases the text to the left of the insertion point one character at a time.
To remove text from document online you can use ScanWritrs eraser tool. Just go to the ScanWritr web and upload the document you want to edit. Erase unwanted text or background, then fill document, sign it, preview it, export it and thats it.
How to remove special characters from text Prepare your text. Have your text with unwanted characters ready. Enter the data. Paste your data or load the file into the input area. Select the option. Click on the Options and select the desired character set you want to keep. Submit. Click the Submit button. All done.
Delete one or more characters Open the document in Microsoft Word or another word processor. Move the mouse cursor to the last character you want to delete. Click the left mouse button to place the cursor after the last character. Press Backspace one or more times to delete the characters in front of the cursor.
You can use the Find function in Word to search for all the hidden text and replace it with nothing, i.e. remove it. Note that you will need to show all of your hidden text using Control+Shift+8 or the Show/Hide button before you search for it the Find/Replace function wont find it if it is still hidden.
