well good morning welcome back to the vintage drum restoration garage and this morning i thought wed go over how to remove the glue off of a gretch round badge bass drum from the 60s [Music] ive seen all kinds of funny ways to remove it even down to sanding and often ive thought id just give you my take that ive been doing for years on how to remove it its not really that complex um first you remove the finish this was a satin flame finish which was all cracked and ruined and now were gonna um just get this glue off of here and get it ready for a wood grain finish maybe anyway the inside needs to be taped all the holes need to be taped so you dont get any leakage of the stripper which i use i use paint stripper on it and um something like this uh all kinds of different ways to do it with uh different products but this stripper seems to work pretty good its the one i have right here so well use this one today and all you need is a brush and put it on i put it on kind of thick
