another tip that I have for you for being concise is to limit your meta discourse and eliminate any overview sentences that you find in your draft and so we talked about earlier that there are different categories of meta discourse that act as logical connectors to help you interact with your readers and we call it some of those Transitions and transition words transition words and transition phrases now Iamp;#39;m not telling you to get rid of your transition words and transition phrases I want you to keep that kind of meta discourse I think you should get rid of is when you are talking about what youamp;#39;re going to talk about and so sometimes you might see advice for writing that says tell them what youamp;#39;re going to tell them tell them then tell them what you told them I think this advice might be useful for certain types of writing but I donamp;#39;t think you should use that advice for scientific writing because youamp;#39;re going to end up being not concise at all

Total scores for each SAT Subject Test have a range of 200800. To calculate your raw score, we add a point for each correct answer and then subtract a partial point for each incorrect answer. Points arent subtracted for unanswered questions.
As you know, the SAT penalizes an incorrect response with a one-quarter-point deduction. Your raw score is therefore computed as follows: +1 point for each correct response. +0 points for each omitted (left blank) response.
Omissions occur when the rater skips or does not provide a response to an item1. In paper-and-pencil administrations, there may be unclear responses provided by the rater.
left out or suppressed; not done, mentioned, used, written, etc.: Without the omitted phrase, the sentence becomes ludicrous.
Hi! The SAT does not have a penalty for guessing or leaving questions unanswered. The scoring system is based solely on the number of correct answers you provide, and incorrect or unanswered questions do not result in any points being deducted from your total score.
To refresh you: on the SAT you receive one point for every correct answer, zero for blank answers, and -. 25 for every incorrect answer. The only exception is the Mathematical Grid In Section where there is no SAT guessing penalty.
