Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is the process that converts an image of text into a machine-readable text format. For example, if you scan a form or a receipt, your computer saves the scan as an image file. You cannot use a text editor to edit, search, or count the words in the image file.
An ImageProcessingTools object can be obtained by calling the CreateImageProcessingTools method from an Engine object. The CalcSuitableForOcr method returns a double value in the interval from 0.0 to 1.0 that indicates how suitable the image is for OCR, with 0.0 being the worst score and 1.0 the best.
One of the most common ways of evaluating the effectiveness of a training course is to survey the participants. Surveys are the simplest and most time- and cost-effective ways of establishing whether the conditions were right for learning to take place.
