hey guys this is bill with notary coach.com today Im talking about notarizing personal letters or handwritten letters or typed up letters I actually get a lot of requests to docHub documents like that I think theres theres a number of different reasons sometimes whoever is going to be receiving those letters from people actually ask them to be docHubd and then I think some people have a misinterpretation of what a notarization actually does so when you docHub a document like that youre not validating the content of that letter theres no way that you would know if that was true or real information or not you were truly just notarizing youre acknowledging that the person who signed that document in front of you is actually the person they said they were so thats why you verify their ID and you do that now Ill have a lot of people actually who Ill show up or theyll come to me and they literally just have a letter that they just hand wrote and they just say hey well use n

Updated: Jun 9, 2022. An Employment Verification Letter is a formal acknowledgment by the employer stating that an employee currently works for or previously worked for the company.
The notary public must perform the same required actions as an authorized representative. When acting as an authorized representative, the notary public should not provide a notary seal on Form I-9.
Take your letter to a notary public at a bank, shipping store, or law office, or meet with a mobile notary. Some other notary locations may include an insurance agent, financial adviser, title company or real estate office. Show photo ID. The notary will need to complete a notarial certificate.
An employment verification letter generally includes your employers address, the name, and address of the organization requesting the document, your name, your employment dates, your job title and salary . The document may also include your date of birth and social security number for identification purposes.
Certificates of Employment should be attachment only to an executed Affidavit of Employment, should be duly docHubd by a notary public, and should be brought to the Regional Trial Court (RTC) and to the DFA for authentication.
The Form I-9 does NOT require a notarial act, therefore you must NOT affix your notarial seal impression on it. You are signing the form in the capacity of Authorized Representative of the verifying employer, so we recommend that you indicate Authorized Representative as your title, not Notary Public.
The California Secretary of State has made it clear that a notary public may not docHub, complete, or make the certification on Form I-9, even in a non-notarial capacity. Only a bonded immigration consultant can perform an I-9 verification in California which is a separate certification process.
Completing an I-9 as an Authorized Representative The notary will complete the required information in Section 2, including the employers review/verification and certification. Since the completion of an I-9 form is not technically considered a notarial service, a notary public has the option to refuse the service.
