Select the cell or range of cells that you want to format with a negative number style. In the Category box, click either Number or Currency. Under Negative numbers, select an option for negative numbers.
The NOT Excel function is a logical function in Excel called the negation function. It negates the value returned through a function or a value from another logical function. This built-in function in Excel takes a single argument: the logic, which can be a formula or a logical value.
Negative Numbers to Zero Select cell C1. Enter the formula =A1-B1. Click the lower right corner of cell C1 and drag the formula down. Result: To change the negative numbers to zero but leave the positive numbers unchanged, instead of =A1-B1, use =MAX(0,A1-B1) and drag the function down.
If you want to exclude some data from a chart after it has been created, you can do so by selecting the data that you want to exclude and then deleting it. This will remove the data from the chart, but it will still be present in the worksheet.
Below are the steps to reverse the sign using Paste Special: In any empty cell in the worksheet, enter -1. Copy this cell (which has the value -1) Select the range where you want to reverse the sign. Right-click on any of the selected cells. Click on Paste Special. In the Paste option, select Values
Click Number tab, click Custom Option, on right-hand side, under Type text box select General , and in the Type text box, enter a minus sign like this: -General and click OK.
Using MAX and MIN functions The Excel formula =MAX(B3,0) will return the number in cell B3 only if that value is positive. Similarly, =MIN(B3,0) will return the value in cell B3 only if that value is negative.
