the table tool provides users with several options to apply or remove shading from header and alternate rows in the table on the screen ill shade the header rows using the rgb values that have already been entered next ill shade the alternate rows a blue color when doing so i have the option to have the shading start from the first row of the table or after the header rows ill start after the header rows one important item to note is that as rows are added or deleted the shading must be removed and reapplied ill demonstrate by adding a couple of rows next ill choose from one of the three options for removal users can opt to remove shading from the header rows non-header rows or the entire table finally apply the shading again if youre formatting a table that requires multiple colors in the alternate rows a little ingenuity is required to add another color split the table where you would like the second color to start then enter the rgb values for the new color and select the drop
